enable_positional_arguments_* session settings

These settings are available in system.settings and are autogenerated from the ClickHouse snapshot.

enable_positional_arguments

Enables or disables supporting positional arguments for GROUP BY, LIMIT BY, ORDER BY statements.

Possible values:

  • 0 — Positional arguments aren’t supported.
  • 1 — Positional arguments are supported: column numbers can use instead of column names.

Example

Query:

CREATE TABLE positional_arguments(one Int, two Int, three Int) ENGINE=Memory();

INSERT INTO positional_arguments VALUES (10, 20, 30), (20, 20, 10), (30, 10, 20);

SELECT * FROM positional_arguments ORDER BY 2,3;

enable_positional_arguments_for_projections

Enables or disables supporting positional arguments in PROJECTION definitions. See also enable_positional_arguments setting.
