network_compression_method

The codec for compressing the client/server and server/server communication over the native protocol, the response of an HTTP request made with compress=1, which uses the same frame format, and the streaming exchange between the tasks of a distributed query plan (make_distributed_plan). Exchanges through temporary files use the default codec of the server.

Possible values:

  • NONE — no compression.
  • LZ4 — use the LZ4 codec.
  • LZ4HC — use the LZ4HC codec.
  • ZSTD — use the ZSTD codec.
